 Alpha Adventures & Education provides dynamic outdoor skills instruction and guiding across diverse environments. Our goal is to provide our clients with rewarding outdoor experiences that allow for personal discovery.

Jamie Mani - B.Ed
Owner Operator
 
Jamie is an Outdoor Education / PE specialist teacher in the Sunshine Coast School District. For over 5 years he taught in the TREK outdoor education program (Vancouver School Board) and has instructed outdoor pursuits courses for Simon Fraser University. He has a vast array of experience instructing children, adolescents, and adults. He has taught outdoor / environmental education through a number of programs in the lower mainland and Squamish. Instructing subjects include: Flatwater Canoeing, Telemark Skiing, Kayaking. Other interests include: Rock Climbing, Mountaineering, and Mountain Biking.
Member: Recreational Canoeing Association of British Columbia, Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of British Columbia, Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors.

Sarah Mani - B.Ed

Sarah is also an Outdoor Education school teacher who specializes in P.E. She brings a wealth of knowledge as a sports trainer, a skier, a mountain biking coach and of course a kayaking and flatwater canoe instructor. In addition to teaching sports training courses, Sarah has also instructed outdoor pursuits courses for Simon Fraser University. You can often find her riding her bike on the Sunshine Coast or running with our dog Tele.

Trevor Chapman- Guide
A graduate of the College of the Rockies, Adventure Tourism Program, Trevor is entering his third season guiding for Alpha. A certified kayak guide, canoe instructor, swift water rescue technician & Search and Rescue team member, Trevor loves to guide people in the outdoors. His enthusiasm and caring manner make him an amazing asset to the Alpha team. He also enjoys rock climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and alpine climbing. You will find him out guiding both snowshoeing as well as kayaking year round on the Coast. Of course, if you have any questions about gear he is a wealth of knowledge too. Pick his brain at our outdoor adventure store in Roberts Creek.
Certified: Sea kayak Guide, Canoe Instructor, Avalanche Level 1 Technician, Swift Water Rescue.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Please Note: - 40% Deposits are required 2 weeks prior to the course / trip. Cancellations within 1 week of a course / trip will result in no refund of the deposit. Should Alpha Adventures & Education find a replacement the full value of the deposit will be refunded less a $20.00 administration fee.
- Should a participant need to leave during a course- no refund will be issued. Rather, some form of course credit will be arranged.
